nullCasa Pieve is an old convent-school near Camaiore and was transformed into a villa by a dutch family in the last century. The property is at the foot of the Monte Prana in Tuscany near the coast and the artist's village Pietrasanta, center of the old marble culture. It's an ideal startingpoint for visits to many lovely cities like Florence, Pisa and Lucca but also for walks in the mountains in the region of the Alpe Apuane. Ofcourse you can always go for a lovely walk on the beach (the house is at only 8km from the shore) Restaurants are at walking distance in the hamlet called Pieve and at 2 km in Camaiore. The Villa can put up 12 people at the most. It is surrounded by a vast well kept garden on a flat surface with a barbecue-spot and a ping-pong table. It measures at least 3000m2 and offers a lot of privacy. The view from the Villa and the garden on the Alpe Apuane is really amazing. In july many Sagras (local celebrations) take place in the nearby villages, these are wonderful occasions to taste the local food and wine amongst the population. These Sagras are also great fun for smaller children. On fridays you can visit the market at Camaiore, on saturdays at Forte die Marmi (very popular for both Italians and tourists so you better go early!), sundays at Tonfano at Marina di Pietrasanta and thursdays at Pietrasanta. You can rent a bike in Lucca and make a tour on the old city walls! Most beaches have attractions and watergames and in Casoli and Seravezza you will find natural lakes where you can bathe near the river, but to reach those it takes a sturdy 30 minutes walk up hill.
